Mazda Production and Sales Results for December 2015 and for January through December 2015 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for December 2015 and for January through December 2015 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note 1): Overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (not including CKD units). However, passenger vehicles produced for another brand at the plant in Mexico are included. 1. Domestic Production (1) December 2015 Mazda's domestic production volume in December 2015 increased 8.0% compared to December 2014 due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

(2) January through December 2015 Mazda's total domestic production volume in the period from January through December 2015 increased 4.1% year-on-year due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

2. Overseas Production (1) December 2015 Mazda's overseas production volume in December 2015 increased 31.2% year-on-year, reflecting increased production of passenger vehicles.

II. Domestic Sales
(1) December 2015 Mazda's domestic sales volume in December 2015 decreased 24.9% compared to December 2014 due to decreased sales of passenger vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 3.9% (down 1.8 points year-on-year), with a 2.0% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.6 points year-on-year) and a 3.3% total market share (down 0.4 points year-on-year).

(2) January through December 2015 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from January through December 2015 increased 9.4% year-on-year due to increased sales of passenger vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 6.4% (up 1.3 points year-on-year), with a 2.4% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.1 points year-on-year) and a 4.9% total market share (up 0.9 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
(1) December 2015 Mazda's export volume in December 2015 increased 46.8% compared to December 2014 due to increased shipments to North America, Europe, Oceania and other regions.
